If like me you sync multiple calendars from your google calendar to your iPhone and have a colour coding system so you can quickly see if it's work or home appointments then you may have been frustrated by the way the iPhone randomly decides which colours to apply to your calendars over the exchange servers.
Now if you go to settings and select other account you can add your google calendar via CalDAV. However it brilliantly maintains all your colour coding.
You'll need to go to https://www.google.com/calendar/iphoneselect to select which calendars you want to sync but then it's plain sailing.
